Other Details to Note

If you will be visiting between November and March: snow tires are required and all wheel drive is highly recommended. The road to the cottage has some moderate hills that are not possible to climb without snow tires and can be extremely difficult without all-wheel drive. For the fire pit and wood burning stove we recommend bringing a bag of kindling and a bag of dry wood. If there is firewood on the property it will be stored outside and can be difficult to start a fire with if you don't start fires often. Availability of some amenities at the property is subject to seasonality. A complete list of which amenities are subject and how they are affected follows For the outdoor fire pit, it will be accessible and maintained between May-November. In the snowy months it will not be possible to use the firepit. For the wood burning stove inside, it is available from October-April. In the hot months the stove is not in service due to the high heat that it puts out. For the outdoor dining amenities, they are available between Victoria Day and Thanksgiving. We put away the dining set and BBQ at thanksgiving due to the high volume of snow and the chance of damage to the set. For the watercraft (Canoe, Kayaks, SUP), they are available between Victoria Day and Thanksgiving. The lake gets quite cold long before it freezes and it is a hazard to use these types of watercraft in the shoulder seasons.

A quiet, cottage community with Silent Lake Park less than 30 minutes away by car and Algonquin Park less than 1 hour away by car. Jeffrey lake is a limestone base lake with incredibly clear water and no public boat launch.

Guest Access

You'll have access to a full kitchen with a dishwasher, two full bathrooms, an open concept living and dining space with a two sofas, one of which can be converted into a twin+ bed. The house also has 3 bedrooms, a Master Bedroom with a King and a Full Size Bed, and the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have a Queen Size bed each. The outdoor area has tree cover for privacy, a newly constructed fire pit, an outdoor dining area with a BBQ, two decks facing the lake and a private dock with seating and a ladder into and out of the lake. A canoe and two stand up paddle boards are also provided and stored at the dock.
